Played and enjoyed video games my entire life!  I love coding and game development with a passion.  After graduating in Applied Computer Science, I have continued to advance my passion and knowledge to learn new engines, new tools and create and polish games so I can contribute to the world of gaming.  I am working every day to be the best game developer I can be.  

Who I Am

I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University in Computer Science.  I am seeking a position or internship in the gaming industry where I can prove myself in the competitive gaming market.  Upon graduating, I have continued to educate myself by creating and polishing my own games using Unity and Unreal Engine 5.   I have worked with both Unity and UE5 for years and am now skilled in both. I have created my own drag and drop inventory system, created a complex enemy AI and created a number of "soulslike" and platformer levels.  Designing and creating games have been my passion for as long as I can remember.  Please check out my games I have created in more depth by clicking on "Games" in the top menu.

The Curse of the Catacombs

Unreal Engine 5 | 2024

3D RPG "souslike" game where you explore a world while fighting many types of enemies and bosses while unlocking weapons and abilities as you progress.  Has data-based inventory system and some rogue like elements.    

Avenir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

3D RPG game about exploring an alient planet.  As the player explores, they collect new ingredients and weapons and try to save the population of that planet from starvation. We created this project as part of a Game Jam.  I was the combat programmer for the team.

Controlled Chaos

Unity | 2023

Controlled Chaos is a game I started as a school group project and it ended at level 4.  After the semester, I decided to continue working on it as I felt it "needed more".  I worked on it for several months and finished the game at level 10 with a tutorial. Controlled Chaos is a fast-paced 2D Unity platformer that involves a single player dodging obstacles (spikes, walls, moving creatures, boulders, saw blades and more) in a series of  progressingly more challenging levels.  Each level presents very unique challenges. My goal was to make each level stand out by itself with a nice game finish.

Worked on my first big game with UE5 and Blueprint Scripting.  Was very challenging but got the hang of it. I am excited to create another game to learn Blueprints even more. Soar Beyond is a world in the sky to explore and test the player's skill.  You compete with Mother Nature against whirling winds and slippery slopes and obstacles that hinder your journey.  Your precision is key as you maneuver swinging chains, moving platforms, secrete doors, trampolines and even choosing the right path across blinking neon lights.

The Undead Maze

Unreal Engine | 2023

My college education did not teach me Unreal Engine but I was very interested in learning it.  Undead Maze is a 3D first-person shooter in which a player tries to escape a vast zombie infested maze. Unreal Engine was very overwhelming at first but after creating this game, I understand it much better.

For another challenge, I decided to re-create an old video game in my own way. I chose to re-create one of the very first video games: Pong. The goal was to keep the core game play similar but to add a lot of new features as well. For example, the side of the paddle can launch the ball back with more force than the middle.  There are also items that spawn that have various affects on both players' paddles and the ball. I created this game using Unity and C# code.
